In Eagan at Yankee Doodle & Denmark across from Lunds & Byrelys, ACME TOOLS has had a public hearing and is going through Eagan City Council approvals to take over the shell of what was originally supposed to be Amazon Fresh (artist rendition above). Several of these Amazon Fresh grocery stores were being built throughout the Twin Cities over a year ago, but Amazon abandoned the idea.
ACME TOOLS has 3 other stores in Minnesota in Duluth, Plymouth and Bemidji. ACME TOOLS is based in North Dakota since 1948 specializing in indoor and outdoor power tools. This 34,500 sq.ft space in Eagan will include a large showroom, warehouse, service area and offices. Approval is expected. We checked and there is no update on if the other Amazon Fresh locations have any companies intending to take over those spaces.
