This group of awesome ladies (+Ryan) worked their tails off and prepped 60 eight-pound lasagna meals for Lasagna Love! Lasagna Love is a global nonprofit and grassroots movement that aims to positively impact communities by connecting neighbors with neighbors through homemade meal delivery. They seek to eliminate stigmas associated with asking for help when it is needed most. Their mission is simple: feed families, spread kindness, and strengthen communities. Their inception was brought upon during COVID and has grown into a global effort. To give you an idea of the need, there are some folks who are still on the waiting list to receive a meal since last October.

This event was made possible thanks in large part to Jen & Ryan McGunnigle, Owners of Las Tortillas Mexican Restaurant. They opened up their La Playa room for us to use and spent DAYS prepping 480 POUNDS of ingredients. They showed us the ropes and helped us prep the lasagnas, then fed us food and margaritas. These two truly are amazing members of the community and we can’t thank them enough for helping make this event possible!
