BUSINESS AFTER HOURS / RETIREMENT PARTY FOR JODI KURTZ @ WARNERS’ STELLIAN
A perfect way to end a great year: by honoring a special person. 2 weeks ago, WARNERS’ STELLIAN generously hosted our year end BUSINESS AFTER HOURS. This packed event was great on its own but became more memorable by having the dual purpose of CELEBRATING JODI KURTZ RETIREMENT (pictured above) AFTER 30 YEARS as Store Manager.
After heartfelt remarks by Chamber President Ed Kearney celebrating Jodi’s leadership as our Past Chamber Chair, her being President of Apple Valley Planning Commission and her being known during the transit transition years as “the Leader on Cedar,” Bill Warner then spoke passionately as President of all the Warners’ Stellian’s about when he first hired Jodi 30 years ago.
With so many in the Warner family present as well as Jodi’s two daughters, husband, son-in-law and grandson, her final goodbye and thankful comments brought many to tears. Jodi’s legacy really comes down to the families she served. Jodi literally was in the family business, not the appliance business.
Jodi first served the Warner family making Apple Valley (their 2nd store) consistently one of their top stores. Jodi helped bring together thousands of families through 30 years of making kitchens amazing with memorable meals for families to talk about their days. Jodi proudly served the families of such highly professional employees with the opportunity of earning such high incomes for their homes, education of kids and retirements. She would have been just as successful no matter what field she chose and will be missed by the hundreds of Chamber, City and resident customers who know her as friend. To put it in cooking terms, “Jodi, CONGRATULATIONS on a career well done!”
