FRITO LAY DISTRIBUTION CENTER NEARING COMPLETION

From Apple Valley, FRITO LAY (PART OF PEPSICO) will distribute pre-packaged snack foods using up to 152 trucks. (See electrical EV hookup photo). Located behind the new Apple Valley Menards and just west of Uponor, we do not yet know the opening date however all the huge steel racks are being installed.  We took photos for you before the site is restricted with controlled gates.  There is a small separate building for truck repair along Johnny Cake Ridge Road. This is the site of the former Hanson Pipe factory where two years ago, we showed you photos of all the concrete and waste that had to be removed from the soil and then ground into a powdered backfill.  Frito began in 1932 in San Antonio and Lay Potato Chips in the same year. They merged in 1965 as part of PEPSI. This is a great number of jobs for Apple Valley.
