RIBBON CUTTING AT THE CHARMING LILY
It was so wonderful to finally welcome The Charming Lily to Apple Valley! Owner Jen Knesel opened this boutique about a year ago but in a different location (over by Target on Cedar). However with the pandemic and other timing issues we were unable to pull off a ribbon cutting there. But in Jen’s own words, this ribbon cutting was even better since she is now in a superior location that she loves in Times Square shopping center. Jen had just 2 weeks to move from her old location to her new location which was a labor of love since she has so much inventory. She worked long hours and had lots of help from family and friends. She even had her sister in town from Oklahoma helping her while also doing her regular 9-5. This new location is perfect and we know Jen will have lots of success there. Jen is so passionate about the store since she quit her corporate life at Hy-Vee after 20+ years to open her boutique – something she’s always wanted to do.
In attendance was a mixture of Chamber members, representatives from the City of Apple Valley as well as Jen’s friends, family and vendors who’s gifts are sold at the store. Consisting of Jen’s own inventory as well as over 40 local vendors, there really is something for everyone at The Charming Lily. There is women’s clothing, baby stuff, bath and cleaning supplies, candles, lake decor, cocktail accessories, kitchen gadgets, holiday decor, all kinds of gifts, jewelry, and so much more. Think local when shopping for your next gift, whether it is for someone else or you are treating yourself. Thank you to all who came to show their support and we wish Jen all the best!
