Helpful Resources For Displaced Workers: Housing, Food, Financial Assistance & More
APPLE VALLEY CHAMBER NOTE: We know that many of you will unfortunately have to make difficult decisions on displacing workers in response to the latest Governor Executive Order. Along with our south-of-the-river Chamber partners we have complied the following list of resources to assist your workforce, friends, family or customers who have been impacted. Please forward this to anyone affected so that they will know there is help for them. We hope this helps.
RESOURCE LINKS:
Provides free and confidential health and human service information. Call centers are staffed by trained specialists who assist and refer callers to help they seek.
Provides emergency utility assistance for people with no other options for aid. Funds are used to help individuals pay for natural gas, propane, and electricity depending on what heats their home.
Programs that provide ‘Adopt a Family’ services which match people who want to provide personalized holiday assistance (usually gifts or a food basket) with an older adult, individual with a disability or low income family who are unable to celebrate and enjoy the holiday without the sponsors generosity.

Provides housing assistance payments to help prevent eviction, homelessness, and maintain housing stability for eligible renters and homeowners.
