VIDEO: Wrap Up From Yesterday’s Facebook Live

Chamber President Ed Kearney, Chamber Chair Tasha Wells (Coldwell Banker Burnet) and Director of Marketing for Bogart’s Chris Loth all spoke during our Facebook Live video yesterday at Bogart’s Entertainment Center.
50+ Chambers from around Minnesota joined together and all went live via Facebook at 3 p.m. yesterday to highlight several factors:
  • The need to shop and buy local including services & recreation
  • The impact on some businesses hurt most
  • Opening up even more (but within all social distancing and PPE guidelines)
  • It seems Executive Orders are 1 size fits all. Exceptions should be allowed if said business took extraordinary investments into protections. Let local cities use inspectors or police to decide if safety is met.
We highlighted Bogart’s Entertainment Center’s bowling since they have invested over $150,000 in improvements to make social safety the priority, have lost nearly one-half million dollars and are only allowed still to open at only 25%. We are hoping they can at least go up to 50% and still would only use every other lane.
