South Chamber Presidents Meet With Dakota & Scott County Managers

Recently, Chamber President Ed Kearney met with other south-of-the-river Chamber Presidents at the workforce center which was hosted by Director Mark Jacobs.  DAKOTA COUNTY MANAGER MATT SMITH and SCOTT COUNTY MANAGER LEZLIE VERMILLION presented issues which affect business.  Also presenting was MAGGIE DYKES of COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (CDA) (Maggie was formerly an Apple Valley City Planner). This forum is a new format produced by Mark Jacobs to align the Counties, Chambers and workforce centers work together to facilitate “real world” solutions for numerous issues from transportation, finding qualified employees, education, training, economic development, and more.
