City, Chamber & Banks Collaborate to Help “Polish the Apple”
Yesterday, the City of Apple Valley and Chamber hosted Apple Valley Banks at a 1st planning meeting to introduce ways to improve homes in Apple Valley, many of which are over 50 years old. Many ideas and input came from the Chamber and Banks on how to best accomplish improving our city housing stock both in exterior and interior programs and possible incentives. Much more will become of this likely decade-long initiative which can only benefit our housing image and values, our lending institutions, our contractors and protect our tax base in the long haul. Bank participation is the key to success. Special emphasis is concerning our changing demographics including housing generational turnover as well as helping empty-nesters improve rather than move. It will target all levels of dwellings and income. We see this as a very viable and valuable joint project.
