Lebanon Hills Fires

We noticed one day this week that there was a lot of smoke coming out of Lebanon Hills in Apple Valley near Girl Scout Camp Sacajawea at Pilot Knob and McAndrews. Curious, we walked in and found piles and piles of gathered fallen wood which were being controlled burned in order to prevent later forest fires. Last year’s California massive fires and this year’s Australian fires are a good reminder of how important this fuel reduction really is.
