Annual Chamber Christmas Luncheon & Awards Ceremony
Directed by Director of Choirs Greg Douma, the Eastview Chamber Choir performed a spectacular 30 minutes of joy to nearly 100 Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce businesses. Held at GrandStay Conference Center, they also performed in front of Mayor Mary Hamann-Roland, Eastview’s new Principal Bruce Miller, Athletic Director Rob Franchino and Tony Taschner of School District 196’s Superintendent’s office. So many people afterwards spoke of how the performance put them 100% in the Christmas and holiday mood especially for giving. Following their performance, Chamber of Commerce President Ed Kearney presented awards to the Choir, committee Chairs, the Chamber’s outgoing Board Chair Karen Kirkman of MidCountry Bank, outgoing Chamber Board members Brett McSparron of State Farm, Laurie Bolin of 360 Communities and Joe Veliz of Highland Bank. Ed Kearney’s speech honoring Karen Kirkman about her leadership over the last year was very moving and brought tears to many eyes.
